What we check before buying

• Service records for the gearbox and all-wheel drive system
• Brake and cooling work in the history, as they work harder in the mountains
• Whether the car towed a trailer, which is worth asking the seller directly
• Service history, Pickerl reports and paperwork

We do not inspect the car in person: we rely on documents, history and the seller or auction description.
